June 3, 2022, Catalyst Center for Business, Perryville - About 40 community members attended the Planned Giving Lunch and Learn on June 3 hosted by the Perry County Community Foundation (PCCF) and the Perryville Area Chamber of Commerce. The seminar drew non-profit organizations and individual philanthropists as well as accountants, lawyers and financial planners. Topics included Why is Planned Giving So Important?, How Can You (and your clients) Benefit from Planned Giving? and Real World Examples of Planned Giving Benefits. Pictured here are presenters Natalie Lorenz, an attorney with Mathis, Marifian & Richter, LTD. And Greg Laurentius, a Tax Manager from Kerber, Eck and Braeckel.

“While I was brought up to be mindful of the needs of others and always felt a sense of warmth by donating to worthy causes, I really never considered the possible financial advantages of planned giving,” said Michelle Hadler, an attendee, “I left the seminar feeling more educated and also very inspired.”

The mission of PCCF is to improve the quality of life in Perry County by facilitating the establishment of long term charitable funds for grants, scholarships, projects and private donations. Perrycofoundation.org
